Prize, performance, 2006
The University of Québec Visual Arts Department has the tradition to announce the winners of grants, scholarships and prizes at the opening of the graduate’s exhibition. Having invented my own cultural prize via a myriad of e-mails, telephone conversations and letters using a fake name, a fake address and fake bank account, I win back my 500$ (in the form of a huge game-show check) and gleam with the title of the winner of the Cultural Prize for Contemporary Recentness in Art, bestowed upon me by the Foundation of the artistic up-and-coming contemporary present.
